Scholarships

Scholarship programs make our community stronger.

Scholarships administered by the Leelanau Township Community Foundation reward the achievements of our future community leaders. Some scholarships focus on a particular field of study; others reward overall academic efforts. Since the first scholarship was awarded in 1992, local students have received more than $347,310 to help them pay for college. These scholarships have helped local students achieve their educational and career goals.

Some scholarships require applicants to show financial need in order to receive assistance. Students who need financial aid for college should complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid, which can be found by visiting www.fafsa.com.   Scholarship applications will be updated for 2017 before March 1.
