Relocation of the Recycling Site

In the spring of 2018, Leelanau Township received a grant from LTCF for the relocation of the Township’s recycling center. Construction started throughout the summer and it opened to the public in September of that year.

mural installation at the northport marina

The Foundation granted $6,500 from the General Endowment Fund to fund the installation of a mural on the north wall of the Northport Marina. The mural was put together completely by volunteers in the community, and unveiled September 1st, 2017.

Nagonaba Walking trails in northport

The Village of Northport and the Foundation funded the extension of the Nagonaba trails that run from the end of Nagonaba Street, thru Braman Hill recreation center, and end back behind the Northport cemetery on 8th Street.

Scholarships for the leelanau children's center

The Leelanau Children's Center is a 5-star program, and the Foundation is a proud partner of this wonderful organization. Through the Basil Antennucci Leelanau Children's Scholarship Fund, the Foundation is able to provide funding for yearly scholarship for Leelanau Township youth.

In 2017, Leelanau Township received a grant via the newly-established Omena Club 21 Fund to build a holding tank and ADA bathroom at the Omena Firehall.
